3/10/2023 0 Comments Sonarr jackett![]() Jackett allows you to aggregate a number of torrent indexers into a single source and integrates well with Sonarr/Radarr. To help Sonarr and Radarr search through indexers for torrents, I installed Jackett. I also discovered Radarr - a fork of Sonarr with near identical setup which helps download media content that Sonarr doesn't support. Sonarr met my requirements perfectly! Sonarr is easy to configure, worked perfectly with Deluge (my choice of BitTorrent client) and had an amazing user interface. My search for an alternative lead me to Sonarr. After spending hours trying fix the issue and trying to find other people who ran into the same issue, I gave up and looked for an alternative. The initial configuration was fine, but I was simply not able to get it connecting to Deluge (my favourite torrent client). After downloading the Docker image, I attempted to set it up. The first application I stumbled across which did this is Couch Potato.Īfter reading good things about Couch Potato, I decided to give it a go. These applications needed to automate the discovery, downloading and moving/renaming my media content. I didn't want management of this content to be manual, so I looked for automated media-management software solutions compatible with Unraid. I wanted my Unraid/NAS setup to house all my media content. Overall the setup was very easy and took me one afternoon to complete. Once complete press save.Įverything should now be correctly set up and you can start adding TV shows to be scheduled in for download. In my first Unraid article, I went through my experience installing and configuring Unraid. Remember the API key from earlier, this is needed to authenticate Sonarr with Jackett. Back on the Sonarr settings page click the Indexers tab and then the big plus symbol.įill this out with the relevant information. Now we need to configure Sonarr to use Jacket. Repeat these steps for as many indexers as you use. You will have to fill out the information there and click save. This will open the settings menu for this indexer. To add an indexer you will need to click the green Add indexer button from the menu just under the API key ( you will need this later ).Ī huge list of indexers will show find the one you use and click this spanner icon. Very easy to follow but there is no explanation on how to set up indexers on Jackett. On the homepage of Jackett there is a brief explanation on how to add Jackett as an Indexer to CouchPotato, Sonarr and Radarr. If everything is filled out correctly the test will succeed and you can click Save Now you will see a menu where you can fill out the connection details to your rTorrent session. This will open a menu where you can select your download client from. ![]() In this example I will be using rTorrent as this is what we have previously installed.Ĭlick Download Client > Big plus symbol. The first thing we want to do is add a download client. This is where we will spend most of the time configuring Sonarr. You will want to click on settings on the menu bar to open the settings menu. Hopefully this post will help anyone in the future! Sonarr #įirst thing you will see when opening Sonarr will be something similar to this: I know it would have helped me a lot if there was a nice blog post or two explaining a few details when i was looking into setting everything up. I thought this would need a little explaining as I left out some details from the previous post as I thought it is pretty self explanatory but you can never be too helpful. This is a follow on post from that with some information on how to configure both Sonarr and Jackett. In one of my previous blog posts I explained how to install Sonarr, Jackett and RuTorrent using Docker. ![]()
